About Us

          My name is Jake Valora, and for more than 15 years, I had the honor of serving our country as an Infantry Marine in the United States Marine Corps. Today, I am a disabled Veteran and owner of Valora Tactical.

The Marine Corps taught me discipline, sacrifice, accountability, and above all else, never to quit when things get hard. I never imagined that one day, those lessons would be what carried me through one of the hardest battles of my life.

When I left the Marine Corps in 2021, I knew I wasn’t done working hard or providing for my family. I started a new career in plumbing and began building a new life outside of the Marine Corps. But by 2024, the physical toll of my years of service began catching up with me in ways I could no longer ignore. The pain, limitations, and physical demands of everyday life began pulling me down. 

Then, in November of 2025, everything changed.

I experienced a life-threatening medical emergency that nearly took my life. I needed emergency surgery to survive, and the months that followed were filled with recovery, uncertainty, and challenges—not just for me, but for my entire family. Between then and Valora Tactical being born, I nearly died twice, almost lost my left leg, and had my spinal cord getting pinched by my neck making me fall down. 

One thing was definitely clear. I was no longer able to return to plumbing. 

Through a series of moments that I still try to analyze and debunk, God showed me what he wanted to do. For some reason or another, he wanted me to start Valora Tactical. I still am not sure why but I continue to get indicators that I am on the right path. For now, that path looks like making high-quality holsters and giving the protection of Christ on every single piece of Kydex leaving the house. Potentially in the future, firearms training and gunsmithing. If you want the long story, let me know.

My goal with Valora Tactical has always been simple: To make some of the highest-quality holsters possible, without compromising on craftsmanship, reliability, or attention to detail. Every holster that leaves my shop represents more than a product. It represents a second chance, a new beginning, and a reminder that even when life takes you down a path you never expected and things look very dark, God can still lead you somewhere meaningful.

My family stood beside me through the hardest days of my life. They watched me recover, watched me struggle with uncertainty, and watched me search for a way forward. Valora Tactical is part of that journey.
